Microsite holders are given their own log in details and must sign in before submitting an advert. Tips for SuccessRecruiting a new employee can often be a very difficult and drawn out process but getting your recruitment advertising right is one way to simplify the process. If your ad is written well it will attract the right candidates which will make your job easier when it comes to the interview process. The quality and quantity of response you get from an ad will always rely heavily upon the vacancy itself but here are some tips for success. Jobs are listed in our categories by job title, location and salary so be specific and catch the job seekers eye. If you are looking for an online editor for a particular website belonging to your company – use a tagline in the ad's job title to let candidates know. Similarly if you are offering a good salary or benefits try and include that in the ad as well. If you are advertising a number of positions avoid putting them all in to one ad. You can only pick one category for your ad to appear in so make it count and list your vacancies separately. All ads on SourceThatJob can stay on site for as long as 60 days but if you have a closing date it is best to specify this on your advert to avoid disappointing jobseekers, all of which can reflect badly on you as an employer. There is no word limit to our job description section so feel free to provide as much information as possible but be clear and concise as large sections of texts are very difficult to follow. Use bullet points or paragraphs to break large blocks of unbroken text. The more detailed your job description is the more relevant the responses will be. But be sure of what it is you're looking for. What is essential and what isn't? You don't want to restrict the number respondents too far. You can also choose how you want to receive applications either by email, a generic application form) or a direct link to your own website. Our generic form is a simple application form that is filled in on our site and completed entries are emailed to you. Application forms are easy to compare but CV's give the applicant much more room to stand out so you must decide what method suits you. The recruitment process also provides your company with a chance to boost your brand's profile. Make sure to include a short intro about your company to really give your advert a face that applicants can relate to. Logos and links to your site will also attract more interest not only for your ad but towards your brand. Make sure to include your website address somewhere in the job description. This may be a great way to generate traffic to your website and give applicants the chance to find out more about your company. Our submission form has a field for your contact name, job title and email address this is important as it gives applicants the chance to contact someone for more information. It is also one way to make your advert more open to welcome all those potential applicants. Overall aim to keep your ad simple. It must be attractive, informative and clear. |
